The Yahoo and Microsoft (Bing) search alliance is providing two new pieces of information: We can now see united traffic reports of both Bing and Yahoo on the Bing webmaster Center And Bing is powering 7 more “Yahoo countries”.
Bing And Yahoo United Traffic Reports
After the announcement that Yahoo Site Explorer will be shut down until the end of this year, we knew its a matter of time until Yahoo search stats will appear on Bing webmaster Center. Well, the day has come… Watch this screenshot from Bing Webmaster Center how the traffic stats have changed:
The transition took place on August the 13th and you probably will noticed a big jump on your traffic stats (Impressions, Clicks) from that day, as you see in the photo above. There isn’t any option yet to separate between the traffic stats for identifying from which place visitors have come (Yahoo or Bing). For that we will have to be satisfied with our analytic program…
Bing Powering 7 More Yahoo Countries
A little less than 3 weeks ago we reported that Bing Took over 6 more countries on Yahoo search. Now, Bing is enlarging its grasp more, with 7 more (European) countries: Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Russia, the Netherlands and Sweden. The total number of countries that Bing is now powering for Yahoo is 24. Additionally, Yahoo also announced on its official search blog, that Bing will power its Middle East and North Africa portal, Maktoob.
